Puerto Banus Marina |
LOS ARQUEROS is situated on the C339 road to Ronda, only
3 miles from San Pedro Alcantara. A fast coastal highway the
N340, travelling between the mountains and the sea, links
all the resorts between Gibraltar and Nerja.

San Pedro, a short distance from Los Arqueros has a weekly
market on a Thursday, selling fruit, veg and the usual Spanish
trinkets. Of an evening the eateries come alive and you will
find several delightful beach side fish restaurants. Bora
Bora is a notable venue, perhaps a call in there for a pre-dinner
drink at least. San Pedro holds Andalucia's last summer fair,
during the second week in October
If you enjoy walking, then a visit to Reserva de la Biosfera
is recommended, just 10kms along the Ronda Road, take the
turning for Sierra de las Nieves which will lead you to this
beautiful untouched bird haven.

Puerto Banus during the evening buzzes, it is here you will
enjoy a variety of alfresco bars and piano clubs. A parade
of world famous designer shops are located right next to the
Marina, as well as many more interesting boutiques. This is
the place where the wealthy moore their fabulous luxury yachts,
while sipping a drink at one of the many open air bars, you
may even spot one of the worlds 'famous' residence such as
Melanie Griffiths, Antonio Banderas or Micheal Schumacher.
For those visitors who enjoy browsing round market stalls,
there is a large one held in Puerto Banus on a Saturday.

Sierra Nevada |
Both Granada and Sevilla are day trips away, whilst traditional
villages such as Mijas and Nerja, are just a short drive.
One of Spain's most beautiful villages is but an hours drive
through the spectacular Sierra Bermeja, Ronda, is a village
full of old world charm. With it's Arab baths and beautiful
gorge, El Tajo (The Cliff), where the view leaves one breathless,
not forgetting the oldest bullring in Spain, Mirador, which
features it's own museum and also boasts the largest arena
in the country.
Granada, being a University town, is full of life and interests.
Those interested in the cultural aspects of Spain will enjoy
a visit to Alhambra, a beautiful moorish monument. If skiing
is your thing, then just half an hour's drive from Granada
are the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges or, if wind surfing
is your passion, then Tarifa in the province of Cadiz is one
of the best places in the world to be.

If perhaps you would like to visit Melilla or Ceuta, both
of which are situated of the coast of Morocco, or even Tangiers,
then you have but to drive to Malaga or Algeciras and hop
onto one of the regular sailing Transmediterranea
ferries which will take you to view one of these beautiful
areas.
