Puerto Banus Marina

LOS ARQUEROS is situated on the C339 road to Ronda, only 3 miles from San Pedro Alcantara. A fast coastal highway the N340, travelling between the mountains and the sea, links all the resorts between Gibraltar and Nerja.

Los Arqueros

San Pedro, a short distance from Los Arqueros has a weekly market on a Thursday, selling fruit, veg and the usual Spanish trinkets. Of an evening the eateries come alive and you will find several delightful beach side fish restaurants. Bora Bora is a notable venue, perhaps a call in there for a pre-dinner drink at least. San Pedro holds Andalucia's last summer fair, during the second week in October

If you enjoy walking, then a visit to Reserva de la Biosfera is recommended, just 10kms along the Ronda Road, take the turning for Sierra de las Nieves which will lead you to this beautiful untouched bird haven.

Puerto Banus during the evening buzzes, it is here you will enjoy a variety of alfresco bars and piano clubs. A parade of world famous designer shops are located right next to the Marina, as well as many more interesting boutiques. This is the place where the wealthy moore their fabulous luxury yachts, while sipping a drink at one of the many open air bars, you may even spot one of the worlds 'famous' residence such as Melanie Griffiths, Antonio Banderas or Micheal Schumacher.

For those visitors who enjoy browsing round market stalls, there is a large one held in Puerto Banus on a Saturday.

Sierra Nevada

Both Granada and Sevilla are day trips away, whilst traditional villages such as Mijas and Nerja, are just a short drive. One of Spain's most beautiful villages is but an hours drive through the spectacular Sierra Bermeja, Ronda, is a village full of old world charm. With it's Arab baths and beautiful gorge, El Tajo (The Cliff), where the view leaves one breathless, not forgetting the oldest bullring in Spain, Mirador, which features it's own museum and also boasts the largest arena in the country.

Granada, being a University town, is full of life and interests. Those interested in the cultural aspects of Spain will enjoy a visit to Alhambra, a beautiful moorish monument. If skiing is your thing, then just half an hour's drive from Granada are the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges or, if wind surfing is your passion, then Tarifa in the province of Cadiz is one of the best places in the world to be.

Visit Spain's oldest Bullring in Ronda

If perhaps you would like to visit Melilla or Ceuta, both of which are situated of the coast of Morocco, or even Tangiers, then you have but to drive to Malaga or Algeciras and hop onto one of the regular sailing Transmediterranea ferries which will take you to view one of these beautiful areas.
