Andalucia
is a province of diversities, both in climate and landscape.
The coastal areas meet both the Altlantic and the Mediterranean
whilst the Guadalquivir Valley nestles neatly between the
Sierra Morena and Cordilleras Beticas ranges, it is these
ranges and the Gualdalquivir river that cut off the sea flow
to just a 14km wide stretch of water, known as the Straits
of Gibraltar. Andalucia is the place where the Moor's first
invaded Europe, these days, however, it is a place visited
by holiday makers and lived in by those seeking a warmer climate
from those in Northern Europe and a slower pace of life. With
it's many Spanish villages and steeped in history, there is
plenty to keep those who enjoy a bit of culture indulged,
those looking to enjoy sport can also find plenty to quell
their desires too.
Las
Jacarandas Apartments are to be found on the Los Arqueros
Golf Course, which sits on the Sierra Bermeja in the Costa
del Sol (Sun Coast), recently nicknamed the Costa del Golf.
This beautiful course set in rolling hills, boasts outstanding
views and has the benefit of being situated in the perfect
climate of Marbella , warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Matthew Hazelden, Professional Golfer from England, suggests
this course offers some challenging holes but a pleasure for
all standards of players.
With
its water features and fantastic views, there can hardly be
a more beautiful setting in which to partake of one's hobby.
It is possible to book some golf before arriving at Los Arqueros
in order to ensure the tee times you require.
Just above Los Arqueros is the mountain village of Mijas,
pretty and Spanish is all that is needed to describe this
hillside town.
San Pedro de Alcantara is but a five minute trip away from
Los Arqueros, a large town which has retained some old Spanish
charm in the form of Las Bovedas, thermal baths and the Basilica
de Vega del Mar, an old Christian temple. Also within a short
drive is Benalmadena, Estepona, Fuengirola, Torremolinos and
of course Marbella which offers plenty for the visitor both
in terms of culture and leisure. The old quarter of Marbella
is typically Andalucian with narrow streets and squares offering
plenty of pretty and quiet places to eat and drink.
The
liveliest and trendiest place to be seen is Puerto Banus,
where the rich and famous play, some aboard their luxury yachts
moored in the beautiful Marina.
Puerto Banus is but a ten minute drive from Los Arqueros.
Here you will experience top class boutiques and designer
shops, the best Italy and America has to offer, all this as
well as restaurants and piano bars.
Puerto Banus is home to one of Spain's top departmental stores,
El Corte Ingles, a superb shopping experience, featuring a
bargain basement, restuarants and upmarket merchandise on
every other floor, both clothing and electrical goods can
be purchased here, along with most other items one can think
of.

There is a beach in Puerto Banus, as to be expected, there
is always a beach within easy access to Las Jacarandas.
